bgt

Hello everyone.
I thought I’d post an update to my blog here.
I’m planning on learning how to make programs in bgt. I like bgt pritty good.
I need to learn how to use the pan feature, positioning features, and other stuff. I wonder what I could make if I really put my mind to it lol. I hope I can make my sc3d engine I made in autoit compatible with bgt as far as porting it over.
It’s used for grid and side scroller games.
Once I learn what I need to, I plan on making a 3d version of a house. I want it to have doors, and other interactive objects in it.
If that works, who knows.
*big grin*

cool extention for firefox

Hey everyone.
I found a cool extention for firefox.
It’s a sort of web client that supports msn, aim, twitter, facebook, and more.
I’ve played with it a bit, and here are the results.
Accessibility is ok, but it can be improved.
I’ve been able to use msn with it successfully, minus the knoledge of finding the contacts list.
I added twitter services, but I can’t figure out how to update status.
I had to use window eyes and the mouse cursor to operate it.
I can’t find any options to adjust any settings for the extention, but it’s a cool addon.

a new project

Well, I’m working on a voice mail system. So far, I’ve made it where you can record and send messages.
With the help of dropbox’s shared folders, you can send a message to someone through it.
I’ve made it where it also plays messages. I want to make it server based if I can.
I just started on this project today, and I’m going to see what i can do with it.
So far, what I’ve tested is pritty much working.
I’ll add more progress entries as it goes on.
Once the project is finnished, it’ll be a free program.

ipod nano

Well, I got a ipod nano 5th gen for Christmas.
So far, I have to say I love it.
However, a couple accessibility things can be improved.
I wonder if apple would help me with this. Here’s what I hope comes in a later update.
I hope they make the stopwatch and alarms to where they can be read with voice over.
Also, some other menus could be worked on as well. It would also be neet to get the time and date through voice over, and battery percentage. I love it though.
I’m going to record a podcast on it soon.

inform 7 progress, and other stuff

For a while now, I’ve been playing with inform 7, whitch is a text adventure developement system.
I’ve known how to create rooms, characters, and objects and stuff.
I’m sort of mixed up on how to make the characters interact with the game.
I’ve learned some advanced actions on making rules and such. I also think I can figure out the character thing soon.
I’m also learning tads 2 and tads 3.

streaming status

Well, as I said in my blog entry called updates and stuff, I’m starting streaming again.
I usually stream me playing games, just to let people know how it sounds.
They’re random streams.
I have one in my favorites if you want to give it a listen and comment about it.

linux

Well, the subject says some stuff about this. I’ve been trying out various linuxdistros.
Below is the ones I’ve tryed out and my apinions.
Ubuntu 9.01
Good, but more complicated than previous versions. Serious sound issues.
Noppix 6.
Verry good distro. I like the menu interface. I also like the gui interface as well. I like all the programs I’ve played with so far.
vinux 2.0
Good, but needs some playing with. I only took a glance at this distro.
I’m glad linux is accessible to blind and visually impaired people right out of the box.
With tons of distros, and different flavors of linux out there, and a world of free and opensourse software, who don’t want to give it a try.
It has a learning curve, especially when you are used to windows, but it’s fun learning.
It comes with everything you need on a dayly basis.
Internet browser, im client, media players, cd burner, office suite, and more.
Not to mencion the fact that there’s a world of software out for download and installation.
Also, it’s the only os that I know of that can be ran from a cd or dvd.
I plan on doing an audio recording of me messing around with linux.
It’s a great alternative to windows.

updates and such

Just updating my blog a bit.
I really need to start using this thing, but anyway.
I’m learning some moves on street fighter, and street fighter alpha 3.
Marvle vs. capcom isn’t a bad game either.
It seems like street fighter.
I may try to look up some info about it.
Also, I’m going to boost my programming skills a bit.
I may even get back to streaming.

windows 7

Hi all. I installled the beta of windows 7 today.
I like it, but the interface is a bit different.
I haven’t had a chance to mess with it much, but It seems cool.
I installed it on another partition as a playwith os.

another way to contact me

Hi all.
I got a k7 voice mail number.
It’s
206-888-0308
I’ll use that for game requests, suggestions for my games, comments for my blog, or what ever.
It’s just another way to leave me feedback or what ever.
Hope to hear froy anyone who wants to leave me a message.
*grins*
That’s all for now.
